Hi Everyone!
I enjoyed decorating so much for the holidays this year. It means so much to be spending Christmas with my little family at the house. Usually, we’re traveling or spending the holiday at another family member’s house. I can’t wait for Christmas morning for James to wake up, open his presents, and have an delicious holiday breakfast. The start of our own holiday traditions.
I decided to go with a red & white theme on my coffee table. Red books, red candles, and white Christmas trees tie the whole look together. I use the LED candles from Pottery Barn so James doesn’t accidentally burn himself or burn down our house. I added touches of plaid with a throw and some decorative pillows, a classic pattern for the season. The plaid has stripes of blue in the pattern so it helps to tie in the navy from my sectional. I love adding wreaths throughout the home. It’s the simplest way to decorate a space for the holidays. The one in my living room is from Martha Stewart’s Home Depot collection and I hung it up using a simple command hook that sticks to walls.
The giant garland was a an amazing Home Goods find. My mom helped me add lights to the garland and hang it up. It’s so heavy, we couldn’t use command hooks for this one. I had to nail the top of my bookcase to hold it up. Luckily enough you can’t see the nails when I take my garland down. My little red truck was a gift from my mother. She found it at JC Penney and I love it. My goal is to have one of those vintage Ford trucks one day! Happy Decorating!
