Hi everyone!
Today’s Monday inspiration comes from a fellow local designer: Raquel Garcia. She is also a cuban-american living in Fairfield, Connecticut (had to throw that one in there). She designed her own home to be a breath of fresh air – cool, airy, sophisticated, with tons of white and natural light. That stair paint runner in her entryway is unique and beautiful. The lucite & brass hardware throughout add a touch of modern elegance. White can very often turn a room cold and stark, but Raquel’s use of textural layers in each space make the home warm and inviting. Overall, her home is a coastal dream and I’m totally ready to move in!
Her amazingly talented photographer is Alyssa Rosenheck. If you don’t already follow her on social media, do so immediately. She is the founder of a new digital movement “The New Southern.” She founded the movement after noticing certain trends and an aesthetic growing in the design world rooted in Southern style and hospitality. But besides her beautiful interior photography work, she is an inspiring powerhouse of a woman, cultivating a message and community of inclusion, creative prosperity and acceptance.
