Artist Spotlight: Mack & Ro (new studio now open!)

Mack & Ro Studio

I am so excited to introduce Mack and Ro to the blog today! I have been a huge fan of Jen Scully’s work (the artist behind Mack and Ro) ever since discovering her pieces after moving to Connecticut. Jen is a born and raised New Englander, currently residing in my neck of the woods here in Fairfield, CT.

Finding inspiration within our seaside community, Scully began translating her surrounding coastal landscape onto canvas after the birth of her second child in 2015. Mack & Ro (named after her two children) was a complete hit and continues to be beloved by locals and admires from afar. Nautical colors and textures are intrinsic to her pieces, perfect for a beach house, or perhaps even a landlocked space craving some salty air.

As of just last week the new Mack & Ro Studio opened its doors to the Black Rock neighborhood in Bridgeport. The Studio will serve as “a hub for emerging art, design and businesses” through their artist workshops, pop-ups and future panels.

I was honored to be a guest at the opening party, and am even more excited to host my own event (the space if available for private events, too!) in their space next week— the launch party for Dames Collective! Learn more about the community we are building here, and click here to purchase a ticket to the event. We would love to see you on the 28th as we celebrate, and if you can’t make it, I highly recommend you visit the Mack & Ro studio for some serious inspiration.
